This light heirloom quilt has subtle shades of blue grey that are handprinted on an ethereal handwoven cotton silk ground. A bold storm cloud grey panel gives weight to this lofty quilt. Women artisans traditionally sew quilts as family heirlooms in West Bengal. They "Kantha" stitch for approximately four weeks, using susy's carefully chosen cotton thread colors, to give body and structure to the composition of each unique piece. A flourish of peacock blue in a heavier thread winds its way from one side to the other. One of a limited edition of fifteen.
